January 2026: Kier Byrnes & The Kettle Burners win 2025 “Album of the Year” from Twangville from their reader’s poll for the band’s “Before the Fall” release.

December 2025: We are very humbled to announce that Kier Byrnes & The Kettle Burners have been recognized as “Americana Artist of the Year” in the Boston Music Awards. Thank you to everyone who’ve given so much support; we could not have done it without you.

September 2025: Kier Byrnes & The Kettle Burners are very honored to announce that we’ve been nominated in two categories for the 2025 New England Music Awards: “Act of the Year” and “Americana Act of the Year”.

August 2025: Festival season is in full swing for Kier Byrnes & The Kettle Burners over the next few weeks: Tall Ships Oktoberfest, Park City Southie, as well as various Oktoberfests with various breweries such as Jack’s Abby (Framingham, MA), Arlington Brewery Co, (at Write-Locke’s Farm, Winchester, MA) and Anheuser Busch Brewery in Merrimack, NH. Another notable event is that Kier Byrnes & The Kettle Burners have been invited to be the house band for a special Mass Humanities event where the Dropkick Murphys’ own Ken Casey will be awarded “Storyteller of the Year” by Governor Healey.

July 2025: While the band may be recovering from a wild 14 shows in Belgium and The Netherlands, including headlining the Legendary Dinsdag Club Caberet and the Na Fir Bolg Folk Festival in Flanders, “Dances by Firelight” (the newest EP by Kier Byrnes & The Kettle Burners) continues to draw rave reviews and critical acclaim from sources like The Alternate Root, Americana UK, The Whole Kameese and scored another 9/10 by Maximum Music UK.

June 2025: Kier Byrnes & The Kettle Burners headline The New England Americana Fest. As part of the celebration, the band is releasing a. 5 song EP called “Dances by Firelight“. The New England Americana Fest will serve both as the band’s EP release party as well as their last show before heading to Europe.

May 2025: “Before the Fall” EP has been received really well; receiving radio airplay from all over the world, from the local stations in Boston, MA, USA to Victoria, Australia. It was also chosen as “The Reader’s Pick” of the week by Twangville.com and in The Alternate Root’s Weekly Top Ten. The EP also scored a 9/10 by Maximum Volume Music (UK).

April 2025: Kier Byrnes & The Kettle Burners release “Before the Fall” EP on all major streaming services. An EP release party will be help April 11th at the legendary Plough and Stars in Cambridge, MA. Check out ‘Before the Fall’ on Spotify and read the press release.
